Community Visionary
"A woman with a vision empowers an empire of women
to do more, see more, and be more"
- She Unparalleled
She Unparalleled shines a monthly spotlight on one woman that is making a difference in her community. Whether it is through her business, her activism, or her service - we celebrate and honor women that selflessly give to the community they are in and/or women they know.

What would you say to the women of yesterday, today, and tomorrow
Women are a mighty force. Despite all of the gains we've made through the years, I believe our potential is largely untapped. We play our role well as nurturers and peacemakers, and the world needs the care and peace we provide, but we don't have to stop there. There have been moments in history where the collective wisdom, courage, and fortitude of women have fueled change in society. Let's do it again today!!
Learn More about Carol:
Carol was named 2019 DC Mother of the Year® by American Mothers, Inc. She dedicates this honor to her own mother whose uncommon courage and compassion inspire her still. Carol has been immersed in parent education for nearly 17 years, beginning with the Parent Encouragement Program, Inc. where she served on the Board of Directors and trained to lead parenting classes and present community talks as a Certified Parent Educator. Today, she is a Parent Strategist and Consultant, engaging with parents through the portal she created, The Parenting 411.
She guides parents in rediscovering and savoring the joy in their parenting journey. Together, they create a parenting philosophy that complements the personality of the child and restores order in the home, so Mom and Dad can breathe and the child can break through and reach their full potential. She speaks to parents, locally and nationally, about parenting and fostering children’s success in academics and in life, at schools and other community organizations. Carol hosts the Parenting 411 show on WOLB 1010 AM where she explores various matters affecting family life from discipline, communications, and education to achieving work-life harmony, effective co-parenting, and supporting special needs. She was named Radio Personality of the Year Award at SpeakerCon 2019.
Carol is a contributing author to the upcoming anthology, Courageous Enough to Launch, featuring the riveting accounts of women and their journeys to entrepreneurship. She will also release her own book, Mother's Work: Pearls of Wisdom & Gems from My Journey, later this fall. Carol grew up in Washington, DC, and now resides in Northern Virginia where she and her husband raised their two sons.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
